He provides comprehensive treatment for all types of burn injuries, frostbite, and other acute and chronic wounds. Lee began his career in burn care more than twenty-seven years ago as a Registered Nurse in the University of Utah Burn Trauma Intensive Care Unit. Since becoming licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP), he began his NP clinical practice at the Burn Outpatient Clinic in 1994. Board Certified as an Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Certified Wound Specialist, he is an active member of the American Burn Association.
Health Care Policy and Advocacy Involvement
His second professional passion is advocating for the nurse practitioner practice and rational health care policy. Lee has been the Utah State Representative of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners since 2004. His exemplary work and advocacy was recognized by his peers and, accordingly, he was inducted as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2013.
Lifestyle: Health Behaviors
To relax and maintain sanity, Less says he hits the trails, runs ultra marathon races and spoils his granddaughter Emily. Lee started his running “career” at a reasonable pace and distance, gradually moving up to the marathon distance of 26.2 miles and thereafter into ultra marathons.
